Hendersonville local introduces Downtown luxury condo living

Fairmont Heritage Place The Cedars, a luxury residential offering by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, is set to debut in 2025 and has already attracted local buyers. The property is located in Hendersonville, North Carolina, and is a historic building that has been reimagined by the partnership between Fairmont, the Shipman family and Gregg Covin, a real estate developer. The property features studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, and penthouses with prices ranging from $550,000 to $4 million. The project is set to launch in two towers, the Pisgah Tower, where over 85% of units have already been purchased, and the Dupont Tower, which will go on sale this summer.

Fairmont Heritage Place The Cedars has a historic neoclassical revival-style architecture built in 1914 by Jeannie Bailey, who was the wife of railroad tycoon J.W. Bailey. In the late 1970s, the property changed hands and was acquired by Clifton Shipman, Amy Shipman's grandfather. Last summer, the Shipman family and Gregg Covin announced their partnership with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to redevelop the property.

The property is located on a 3.5-acre plot in the heart of downtown Hendersonville, surrounded by restaurants and with access to Fairmont's first-class amenities and services. Local buyers have been attracted to the development, with over 40 units purchased, representing about $35 million in sales. The buyers are mostly empty-nesters, looking for a maintenance-free lifestyle, with access to the amenities the property has to offer. The property has already attracted musicians, business owners, and celebrities.

Amy Shipman, the head of sales for Fairmont Heritage Place The Cedars, is thrilled to see how many locals have taken an interest in the development. The project is especially close to her heart, as she graduated from Hendersonville High School a few blocks away, and counts herself among the lifelong Bearcats. She has sold eight units in one weekend alone and has already inked deals on 85% of the Pisgah Tower. Shipman is joined in the sales office by Mark Zilbert in sales and marketing and Elizabeth Wilson providing administration and sales support.
